Mark Cullen started Cullen Gas whilst working in NSW. Mark had moved to NSW from Launceston two years prior to expand on the experience that he had gained throughout his apprenticeship and position of State Manager Service & Installation for a leading Lpg company in Launceston. Mark returned home to Launceston in 2001 and decided that he wanted to continue working for himself and try to grow his business.
It was a slow start as at that time there was no natural gas in Tasmania. Mark installed and serviced gas appliances on Lpg for both domestic customers and commercial premises. Business gradually grew as customers knew they could rely on Cullen Gas to be on time and provide a quality service.
It wasn’t long before Mark needed someone to assist him with the growing work load. Then with the introduction of natural gas to Tasmania the team of two grew to three and here we are 13 years from the beginnings of Cullen Gas and we now employ a team of licenced gas fitters and apprentice gas fitters.
Mark and his wife Kristy opened the appliance centre in Invermay about two and a half years ago. Customers were telling us that it would be easier if they could purchase their gas appliances and organise to have them installed all from the one place. Customers can now phone Cullen Gas or call into the appliance centre and organise for someone to come out to their home and provide a free quote on their gas heating, hot water and cooking needs. We can quote to supply and install your gas appliances or if you choose to purchase your appliances elsewhere we can quote to install them for you.

We can also assist you with the application to get gas connected to your property as we are a Tas Gas Retail (NG) preferred supplier and installer and are also an Origin Energy (Lpg) preferred fitter.
